Judy Marsie-Hazen (Florida Bar) is a founding member of Marsie-Hazen & Associates, P.A. Judy has lived in at least four (4) of the five continents of the world and has gathered an international network of friends and colleagues. As a result, she is very comfortable interacting and dealing with clients from all over the world. Ms. Marsie-Hazen is the daughter of a former United Nations press corps journalist and a foreign diplomat. She earned her Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Miami School of Law, Coral Gables, Florida, her Masters of Science from University College, London, UK and her Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College, Massachusetts. While attending law school she received a Public Service Award for her leadership and service as Lieutenant Governor for the American Bar Association Law School Division (ABA-LSD 1998). In addition to her legal licensure, she is a member of the Association of South Florida Mediators and Arbitrators and is a Florida, licensed real estate sales associate with Xcellence Realty, Miami, Florida. Judy’s practice areas are immigration, real estate and arbitration/mediation.


Desseta Marsie-Hazen, Esq. (Florida, New York, Washington DC, U.S.V.I.) earned her Juris Doctor from New York University and has been practicing law since 1988). Additionally, she her earned her Masters of Public Administration (MPA) in International Development from Princeton University, New Jersey and her Bachelor of Arts in Third World Development from Wellesley College, Massachusetts. She has licensure in four (4) US jurisdictions including Florida, New York, Washington D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Her practice areas are real estate and corporate law. Desseta clerked with a federal judge and has had corporate legal experience with large national firms. In addition, she was previously a partner with boutique Washington D.C. firm and ran her own law practice. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Marsie-Hazen worked on an assignment with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and worked an economist in the Caribbean analyzing the feasibility of innovative industries. While at Wellesley College, Ms. Marsie-Hazen was on the Dean’s List and was the awarded the Waddell Traveling Scholarship to study international development abroad. She is also very well-travelled and enjoys vacationing in new places as a learning experience.
